In the last few years prices of exotic cars have shot up, but most of us can only watch from afar. No matter how long you search the pages of Autotrader and how many ‘bargains’ you find; if your wallet won’t allow it, you miss out. However, a new high tech platform is seeking to change this allowing you to own a stake in exotic cars for as little as 25 USD.
BitCar’s Car Coins are very much “high end” Stable Coins says BitCar: “The exciting thing is, in our view, a piece of a limited edition Ferrari is more likely to hold its price than a volatile Alt Coin – or even certain debt ridden government backed currencies – so it is a new asset class – with upside potential – that was not available until now..”
A team of approved Agents will source, acquire and store the cars for between 5 and 10 years before they are sold – at which point you get paid out. In the meantime, however, they can be traded freely. Only the rarest and finest offerings from the likes of Ferrari, Bugatti and Lamborghini will make the cut.
Commenting on the platform’s launch, BitCar said: “BitCar’s platform is the first of its kind – tokenizing real assets – in a user-friendly way – which can immediately and freely be traded with other users. The Cars are stored and displayed, and not driven by users to ensure they stay in top condition for their eventual sale from the Platform after 5 or 10 years.”
