Ahead of its full unveiling at the Geneva Motor Show, Land Rover has announced the arrival of the all new Range Rover Velar. The new model is aiming to plug the gap between the £40,000 Evoque and the £80,000 Range Rover Sport. Such a price bracket would put the Velar in competition with the likes of the Porsche Macan and BMW X6.
Exact details and options are still under wraps until next month but, the Velar is expected to be based on the underpinnings of the Jaguar F-Pace. If so, it’s set to be more spacious than the Macan and will most likely feature a more luxurious cabin than the X6. Depending if they decide to drop their supercharged V8 in, it could give the competition a run for their money too. We’ll have to wait until next month to find out.
